Papyrus assures full compliance with the European Timber Regulation
Papyrus reassures customers that its products are all fully compliant with new European Timber Regulations (EUTR), which came into force on March 3rd, 2013 with the EU regulation 995/2010.
The legally binding EU-regulation prohibits the placing of illegally harvested timber and timber products in the 27 member states and all affected organisations must implement routines that ensure that the timber they trade and supply has been legally sourced.
Stefan Baumgartner, Environmental Manager at Papyrus says: “Papyrus customers can rest assured that our products comply fully with the regulation. We view this implementation as a formality, as our purchasing criteria already extend far beyond these legally binding requirements now coming into force,” and continues. “However, this emphasises the need for all traders and buyers of paper products to be careful about the origins of the products they buy”.
